“Come on Harry, pick up pick up pick up…” Louis swallowed the urge to throw his phone across the small bathroom, almost falling over as the train turned and he let out a little yelp, rubbing his neck and hitting re-dial once more.
“pick up, baby… come on…”
“Haz,” Louis spoke too quick, stumbling over his words, “there’s gonna be pictures and I wanted you to know and we had to get really close and I don’t want you to have to look at it and you know I love you and it’s gonna be everywhere and it’s already all over being called cute some other bullshit but it’s… and just trust me it’s really not and…”
Louis sucked in a big breath of air and sat down on the bathroom floor, pulling his knees up to his chest.
“Did you take a deep breath?”
“Good. Now listen, I’ll be fine, stop worrying. Where are you?”
“I don’t know, I don’t even remember where we’re supposed to be going!”
He could hear Harry’s light chuckle through the line and it went straight to his heart, warmed him up.
“I meant where in the train, silly. I love you, you know.”
“Oh! Yeah, I’m in the bathroom.”
“Alright, go back out there, ok? I will skype with you later when you’re not hiding in the toilets so that I can actually see your face. I miss you already! The flights always seem longer without you to keep me company.”
“I miss you too. This sucks, You should be on this train with me.”
“That’s ok. We have all the time in the world, alright? Take another deep breath and get out there again.”
“Do I have to?”
“Well it’s work, innit?”
Louis slowly stood up,steadying himself with a hand on the sink and tried to focus on the love he felt instead of the feeling of defeat that gnawed in the back of his mind.
“Baby,” Harry softly interrupted him, “I love you. Now get your cute butt out of the bathroom.”
Louis mustered up a smile and unlocked the door, ready to step out into the show again.
“Ok. I love you too, Haz.”
